Rae encourages public to submit comments for Russeldale Intersection improvements study

[Mitchell, ON] – Matthew Rae, MPP for Perth-Wellington, encourages West Perth residents to provide comments as part of the Minister of Transportation Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study for the proposed improvements to the Russeldale intersection (Highway 23 and Perth Line 20).

The study will include a review of alternatives and make recommendations for intersection improvements, considering options for traffic signals or a roundabout.

The Study is being completed in accordance with MTO’s Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000) as a Group ‘B’ project. Group ‘B’ projects represent major improvements to provincial transportation facilities.

An online Public Information Centre (PIC) will be presenting the design of the proposed intersection improvements and will provide an opportunity for public input on the Study. The PIC will be advertised on the project website, in the local newspaper, and via direct and/or electronic mail to those on the Study’s mailing list.
